About Me

I’m Alessandra Gutierrez de Leon, an Enterprise Applications Manager and consultant specializing in digital transformation for the Property & Casualty insurance industry. I combine leadership strategy, process improvement, and technology adoption to design scalable solutions that deliver measurable business value.

Over my career, I’ve worn many hats — Business Analyst, Project Manager, and Testing Analyst — evolving into leadership roles that bridge strategy and execution. This balance of hands-on expertise and vision ensures that the solutions I design are not just innovative but implementable.

With over a decade of experience in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and process improvement, I’ve led projects across enterprise migrations, metadata governance, Power Platform automation, and data-driven collaboration hubs.

Outside of corporate life, I’m an entrepreneur at heart — founder of cafeoLogix, offering Microsoft 365 consulting and web design for small businesses and nonprofits, and 17miles coffee roasters, a venture inspired by quality, sustainability, and community.

Continuous learning drives me: I hold a Mini‑MBA from Harvard Square, a Technical Management Program Certificate from UCLA, and a BA in Linguistics from UC Berkeley. I’m also a Certified Scrum Product Owner, Lean Six Sigma practitioner, and lifelong student of Kaizen and Total Quality Management.

Overview: As part of my DBA at the Swiss School of Business and Management, I’m studying how U.S. P&C insurance companies integrate AI into operations while applying Kaizen principles. The research examines leadership strategy, organizational culture, and change management in embedding AI for operational excellence.
